What do these things have in common?
Fall, pumpkins, dish soap, butterscotch chips and school buses....
Ideas?
Well it's this, of course:
They're all ORANGE in color! And when you take 'em all together, and mix 'em up just right, you get these ultra delicious pumpkin cookies - oh, minus the dish soap and school buses!
I found a cool recipe on this page of Joy the Baker 's blog (scroll down her page) - for Pumpkin Butterscotch Cookies...and man, oh man, are they incredible! This will be a forever favorite in our family! You might like to try them too!
And so, let's begin. Flour, salt and some other stuff that I can't remember right now - it's probably other white stuff - like baking soda or baking powder, maybe sugar even - cuz we can't see it! Add a nice amount of cinnamon too.
Then we mix some eggs and some other things - that I also can't remember right now!
I know that I added pumpkin at this stage- see the lovely ORANGE color.
Next we mix the two mixtures together until they are nice and mixed...are you getting mixed up yet? Don't worry, the recipe is simple to mix up...I mean make, not mix up like making mistakes...ahh, forget I said anything!
Note the ORANGE dish soap!!
Moving on...
Here we go -
chipits...ORANGE, yummy, butterscotchy bits...who'd a thunk it -
these are super delectable-ness when added to ORANGE pumpkin cookies.
Voila! C'est fin.
There! It's finished.
Oh, can't forget the school bus! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - MORE ORANGE! But I'm thankful for the color - soon enough all we'll be seeing is white - and that's not even considered a color, technically!
C'est fin, Mom? It should be c'est fini!
