Fresh isn't always fabulous!

A bargain - how cool, only $1.38 a bag - look at all that fresh fruit.
Neat, I'll try something new...just in time for Thanksgiving.
Cranberries!

Pretty little berries, I bet they are just juicy sweet.
Wanna try one?

Ewww!  They're so sour!

Huh.
Well, I sure didn't expect that.
So I was stumped about what to do with these things...after all, I had bought two bags.
The back of the bag said you can freeze them just as they are, so I was
happier than pie to throw one bag right in there...
 lickety split...quick as a wink...good...one down...one bag to go.

Then I went to google and typed "what to do with fresh cranberries" and got lots of results.  This loaf, combined with bananas, is not bad.  Pretty color, but a bit tart.  Think I'll try something else - like maybe sticking a needle and thread through all those pretty little red berries and making a wall hanging!

  2. One of my favorite loafs is orange/cranberry loaf! My Mother in Law makes them for me all the time and I just LOVE them! I don't have the reciepe here with me but I think those two are the main ingredients if you want to google for it :) Let me know if you'd like me to get the recipe from Brendan's Mom.
