Shredding

How do you like using your kitchen gadgets?

  I have kitchen gadgets that are really handy, but the equipment usually stays in the cupboard...because once I've used it, I have to wash it...

  Not only that, but I have to remember how to put it together in the first place!

I pulled this processor out of the cupboard

 because I had a lot of shredding to do...and guess what...

I succeeded where Tough Guy didn't! 

Amazing...it actually took a woman to put this thing together! 

Must have been a woman who designed it - go, women!

But then, Tough Guy wanted all the credit for pushing the carrots through...

that's the easy part!  Typical man!

Good job, Tough Guy!  Look at all the beautiful carrots you shredded up.

Now, what in the world are we going to do with all of them?

Cooked these on the BBQ with butter and brown sugar...mmmm!

Made two loaves...they're in the freezer.

Made an extra large sheet carrot cake...here she goes...into the oven.

Lookin' good...

Ahh...carrot cake - stretching far far away into the horizon, as far as the eye can see...never-ending cake...I'm glad I live here today!

Baker alert - come on over to check out this texture...how does the size of the crumb look?  (I hear that bakers check for this kind of thing, but I don't understand what it means!)

All I know is that I'm in cream cheese frosting heaven, and this piece is all mine!  I'll throw my halo at you if you even think about stealing my cake!!!

But I can share the next piece...

How about coming over for a piece of loveliness like this?!?!  I'll make tea, too!
