Green goop and bangs

My dear sister had an unexpected experience at the hair salon.  She had called the day before and asked for someone to cut some layered, angled side bangs like this:

She arrived at the salon, the lady took her to the back, laid her down in the chair, asked if she was comfortable and proceeded to closely examine her face.

"She must be really studying my face shape to see just how to cut those angled side bangs. Hmm, pretty good of her to do such a close-up job," my sister thought.
Feeling perplexed, but tossing those instincts aside, and trying to appear  nonchalant and confident, my sister said, yes, she was comfortable and closed her eyes while she waited for the scissors to come out.

The next thing she knew was there was thick heavy green goop slathered all over her EYEBROWS...what?  Is this how they go about cutting bangs?

NO!!!

Turns out there had been a mix-up in the appointment book and now my sister was getting an unasked for eyebrow treatment!

Speaking from experience here, my three sisters and I seem to have an inferiority complex when visiting the salon...we just don't quite feel that we are cool enough to be there, we just don't quite belong in that - oh so pretty and confident league, we just don't quite enjoy the hair salon treatment because we can't see when they make you take your glasses off, and generally, our faces just don't suit the wet hair look!

All of our insecurities come raging to the forefront at the salon and we quiver and flop inside, nod our heads and go along with their plans until we can get out of there...all while desperately trying to appear relaxed and natural!

Thus, my sister did end up with a new look...delicately plucked and waxed eyebrows...but no layered, angled side bangs.

Hey, at least the eyebrows aren't dyed blue! :)  Thank heaven for small mercies!
